This year we celebrated World Book Day with a Wild about Words theme.
We were sleepy, sporty, scary, colourful, caring, fierce…the list goes on!
To start our celebrations we enjoyed a World Book Day assembly with a ‘Guess the book Character’ quiz and each class was given a mystery book challenge. We talked about how we usually choose a book by looking at the pictures or reading the blurb but they were all wrapped up so we couldn’t!
Each class had teachers visit from different year groups to read stories.
We then recreated book covers in our classrooms. Some of these will be chosen by Mrs McIlory to be displayed in the library.
