How do Penguins stay warm STEM P1SM 🐧
26th Jan 2024
We have been learning about how different animals stay warm in polar regions.
We know that a penguin chick has down feathers to keep warm and adults have waterproof feathers so that they can swim and survive in the cold weather conditions of the Antarctic.
Today we coloured a penguin using crayons, one using felt tips and one with colouring pencils. We then used pipettes to drip some water onto each penguin.
We found that the penguins coloured with crayons didn't absorb the water!
