Language and Literacy Activities P1SM ✏️
11th Mar 2025
This week we have been developing our sentence writing skills. We wrote sentences about fire fighters, looking at a picture and writing what we could see. We started with a capital letter, left spaces and added a full stop.
We even tried to use different sentence starters as well as incorporate some of our tricky words and sounds for unfamiliar vocab.
Using table top puzzles we worked on our visual discrimination skills. Then we used sticky notes to add labels and annotations to our puzzles. We loved this!
We created our own burning buildings by cutting strips of paper to make windows and scrunching tissue paper to add flames. Lots of fine motor movements.
