This week we have been working hard on developing our blending and segmenting skills using letter sounds. We each got our own spinner. We spun the dial and watched to see where it stopped. Using our whiteboards and pens we stretched out (segmented) the sounds and then wrote the words. Each word had 3 sounds, such as c-a-t and m-u-d. We played some cvc and initial sound games as well as practising our sentence writing skills.
