We have had a very busy week getting ready for maths day! We completed an envelope maths investigation were we had to guess which envelope was the biggest. We measured each envelope with unifix and recorded the amount, lots of us guessed the biggest envelope correctly. We used the ipads to practise our addition of two numbers and made large floor number jigsaws in pairs or threes. We designed number kites by drawing round foam numbers and colouring them in. We all came to school wearing maths themes e.g. patterns, shapes, numbers and numicon . Thank you parents for the fab outfits and to the children for designing amazing wristbands. We made a pictograph of who brought us to school - the mums were the winners today. We sang our numbers song in a special maths assembly. Two people in our class won the guess the number of sweets in a jar👏. Maths day was so much fun 🤩
