This week we have been reading the story about the princess and the pea.
Today we had the opportunity to feel different types of materials such as felt, lace, chiffon, cotton etc and predict how many layers of material we would need before we could no longer feel the ‘pea’ on the bed! Predictions ranged from 4 to 100! Each child took a turn to either place another layer over the pea or test the layers to feel for the pea. It took 16 layers before we could no longer feel the pea!
