We had a fabulous day celebrating Numeracy.
Every day in school we do lots of counting, adding, sorting and work on number recognition.
At home we made wrist bands and decorated them with Numeracy ideas 💡. We had a special Circle Time where we explained to our friends how we decorated our wrist bands.
We also made a pictogram about how brought us to school. Lots of daddies, mummies, breakfast clubs, grannies and grandads. We talked about how on different days, different people might bring us so our pictogram would have different data depending on the day.
We also did some estimating! It was very tricky to guess how many packets of sweets there were in the jar.
To end the day we performed a counting song to the P2 and P3 boys and girls and we enjoyed listening to the P2 Doubles Rap and the P3 Estimating Song.
