This week we have been learning our new number bond - the story of 8. We did lots of fun activities to help us to remember all the ways to make 8. A game called dixie dox, domino colouring in, an interactive teddy bear game on the computer, constructing a wall of 8 using cuisenaire, and partitioning objects and recording on our whiteboards. We also carried out an outdoor activity where we used beanbags and hoops to work out ‘how many more make 8’. We are all lots more confident with the story of 8 now and can work out lots of ways to make this number bond. 🎱
