The P2s enjoyed their play based learning today inspired by our new topic on Julia Donaldson. Our activities included; building a ‘truly magnificent broom’ from The Room on the Broom story, designing wanted posters for the dragon in this book, painting characters from The Gruffalo story on the computer, completely Gruffalo puzzles on the iPads, printing leaf patterns from the forest, dressing up in the Wonderful World of Julia Donaldson area, making up our own stories and putting on puppet shows of stories by Julia Donaldson, and looking at books by this author. We are enjoying our new topic and learning lots already about Julia Donaldson and listening to many of her stories.
