We have been watching a series of lessons from ‘Sesame Tree’ teaching us all about caring for each other and our world, sharing, feeling special, everyone is different and unique and celebrating different occasions by wearing special clothes.
The children love the characters and how they behave and make everyone laugh.
In Art each table painted a different character from the ‘Sesame Tree’ series. When learning about each other’s differences and what features are special to them, the class sat with one of their peers and they each did portraits of each other paying particular attention to things they may not have noticed before like their friends eye colour etc.
I think they did a great job but more importantly they had fun doing it!
