After our lovely half term break, I think the class were very happy to be back at school with their friends.
This week we started our new topic ‘Julia Donaldson’. During play based learning the class could choose to dress up as many different characters, explore the Gruffalo forest on the tuff tray, construct a new broom for the witch, design a wanted poster for the dragon, use the puppet theatre to act out scenes from the books, create patterns using paint and sponges, play the Gruffalo puzzles and games on the iPads, paint a Gruffalo character on the computer and enjoy reading lots of the different Julia Donaldson books.
We also created many patterns in practical maths using different objects.
Busy, busy, busy but lots of fun 🤩
