Today our big science question was - where does rain come from? We used shaving foam to make clouds and pipettes to add blue rainwater to the clouds. Once the clouds were heavy with rainwater it started to rain - a storm in a cup! We learnt that clouds are formed by millions of water droplets and when they get too full, it rains. When it is cold, hail or snow will fall. We then read ‘The Drop goes Plop’ which explained the water cycle further. It was great fun and we had lots of excellent observations throughout. 🌧
