This week for our independent writing, we have been writing instructions on how to carve a pumpkin. Miss Calwell carved a real pumpkin in class and we all took a turn to scoop out the seeds. Then we wrote our own instructions using time openers and bossy words. We loved seeing the pumpkin lit up in the dark.
