This week we started our new play based learning. We have been reading the story of ‘The smeds and the smoos’ by Julia Donaldson. We painted Smed, Smoo and the little baby. We also used the app ‘Pic collage’ on the iPad to make a front cover of our favourite Julia Donaldson book. Some of us made a bigger house for the lady in the story ‘A squash and a squeeze’ with construction materials and items from the tuff tray. We also used play dough to make characters from the story of The Gruffalo.
