Today for Practical Maths, we were making the story of 8. We played Dixie Dixie Dox using the counters, built a wall of 8 using cuisenaire, played a game called ‘ways to make’ 8 on the iPads, coloured the dominoes red if they made 8 and green if they didn’t. We also threw the beanbags into the hoops to add to the number tile inside it to make 8.
