P2SM Castle Espie
P2 had a fab day on the shores of Strangford Lough visiting Castle Espie. The sun was shining as we left Belfast on the bus and travelled to Comber. We had a biscuit treat for snack and then got to work! We went to the woodland area and created some nests for Mummy duck. Alex our guide pretended to be mummy duck and tested each nest. We then walked down to the pond and fed the birds. Some even took seed from our hands! After this we spent time with John listening to facts about mummy and daddy ducks and then had a duckling hunt. We enjoyed our picnics and then it was time to come home. Mrs McIlroy welcomed us back with the news that the boys and girls from Belmont had been the best P2 visitors that Castle Espie had had.
