P2 were given a challenge today in which they had to use skills from Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to solve a problem.
We explored pictures of towers and were then given sweets and cocktail sticks to construct our own towers. We discussed the shapes of our different bases and how to keep our towers steady. As you can see we constructed lots of different types of towers and some of us even teamed up with others! We explored mathematical language such as tall and taller and looked at what 2D and 3D shapes we had created to make our towers.
