P3 HM Maths Day
24th Mar 2023
We had a fantastic and very busy Maths day. We started looking at the artist Kandinsky, an abstract artist who uses circles in his artwork. We used pastels and paints to create beautiful trees. We then did a Maths investigation in the playground. We worked in groups following instructions drawing flowers and trees using metre rulers and smaller rulers. The afternoon started with a special Maths assembly where we sang out maths song, “How many grannies will fit in a telephone box,” a song about estimation.
We completed the day by decorating our kites with various maths symbols and sims. It was a great day with many excellent outfits.
