Today we worked in small groups and went outside on a Phonics Nature Hunt.
Each group were given an iPad, list of CVC, CVCC and CCVC words and a whiteboard pen. We had to read the words and then find the things in the garden and outdoor play areas. Once we found the items, we took a photo and ticked it off on our list.
On our lists were words we can decode such as l-o-g, b-u-g, s-a-n-d and r-o-c-k. It was a really fun way of practising our decoding and ICT skills as well as working together.
